  1. Tender Jackfruit     2    cups
  2. Dal     ½    cup
  3. Sliced Onion     2    nos.
  4. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  5. Black gram dal     2    tsp
  6. Green Chillies sliced    2    nos.
  7. Thick Coconut Milk     1    cup
  8. Oil     2    tbsp
  9. Curry Leaves     1    stalks
  10. Salt to taste     ½    tsp


  1. Skin the jack fruit and cut into small pieces.
  2. Add a little water,salt,green chillies,dal and boil till tender.
  3. Add the thick coconut milk ,turmeric,chilli powder and cook.
  4. Heat oil in pan.Put black gram dal and mustard when they splutter,add onions curry leaves and saute.
  5. Then put in the cooked jack fruit curry.Simmer till the gravy is thick.
