  1. Milk     1    litre
  2. Sugar     200    g
  3. Almonds -Cut into small pieces    20    nos.
  4. Cashew Nuts -Cut into small pieces    20    nos.
  5. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    nos.
  6. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     1    tsp
  7. Saffron     1    pinch


  1. Soak the raisins and almonds in water for 20 minutes. Remove the skin
  2. Boil the milk and reduce it to half its original quantity. When it is thick add sugar and saffron to it and keep on heating it.
  3. Add cardamom powder to the milk.
  4. Cut all the dry fruits into small pieces and put it in the milk and keep on stirring it continuously so that the milk doesn’t stick to the bottom.
  5. Add a few strands of saffron for colouring.
  6. Remove from heat and serve it cold garnished with almonds and cashewnuts
