  1. Vermicelli     1½    cup
  2. Milk     2    cup
  3. Sugar     ½    cup
  4. Ghee     2    tbsp
  5. Cashew Nuts     10    g
  6. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  7. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     1    pinch


  1. Heat ghee in a pan, fry vermicelli in the till golden brown.
  2. Add milk and sugar. Allow it to boil.
  3. Keep on stirring till it leaves the sides of the pan.
  4. Add cardamom powder and mix it well.
  5. Stir and spread on a greased plate.
  6. Garnish with nuts and raisins.Cool and cut into squares or diamond pieces.
  7. Vermicelli burfi is ready to serve.
