  1. Ripe Pineapple Medium Size    1    no.
  2. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  3. Red Chilli Powder     ½    tsp
  4. Sugar     1    tsp
  5. Curd     2    cup
  6. Curry Leaves     1    stalks
  7. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  8. For Grinding
    1. Grated Coconut      2    cup
    2. Green Chillies      5    no.
    3. Garlic      4    cloves
    4. Cumin Seeds      ¾    tsp
    5. Curry Leaves      3    stalks
  9. For Seasoning
    1. Mustard Seeds      ½    tsp
    2. Fenugreek Seeds(Uluva)      ¼    tsp
    3. Dry Red Chillies      3    no.
    4. Curry Leaves      1    stalks
    5. Coconut Oil      2    tsp


  1. Clean and cut the pineapple into 1/2" pieces.
  2. Cook the pineapple pieces along with a little water, turmeric powder ,chilli powder and sugar until it turns to soft and tender.
  3. Grind grated coconut, green chillies, garlic, cumin seeds, curry leaves to a fine paste adding half of the curd.
  4. Add this paste to the cooked pineapples, add salt and mix well; allow it to boil on a low heat.
  5. Whip the remaining curd and add to the curry and mix well.
  6. Bring to a boil and cook for a minute. Keep stirring till the gravy is heated through, Remove from the heat and keep it aside.
  7. Heat oil in a pan, and add the mustard seeds. When it start to splutter, add fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and red chilies
  8. Pour this over the prepared pineapple pulissery and mix it well.
  9. Pineapple pulissery is ready.
  10. Serve with rice and enjoy.
