  1. Fish (Mackerel)     5    no.
  2. To Marinate
    1. Chilli Powder      1    tsp
    2. Turmeric Powder      ½    tsp
    3. Salt to taste      ½    tsp
  3. For Masala
    1. Small Onion / Shallot      1    cup
    2. Ginger Garlic Paste      1    tbsp
    3. Chilli Powder      1    tbsp
    4. Pepper Powder      1    tsp
    5. Turmeric Powder      ½    tsp
    6. Curry Leaves      2    stalks
    7. Coconut Oil  for frying    2    tbsp
    8. Vinegar      1    tsp
    9. Lemon  Juice    1    tsp
    10. Banana Leaf      2    pieces


  1. Marinate the fish pieces with above mixture.Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan fry small onion and ginger-garlic paste.
  3. Add chilly powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, salt and curry leaves.
  4. Stir it well till the oil seperates.Then add vinegar and lime juice mix it well.
  5. Remove from fire and marinate this gravy with fish pieces.
  6. Take banana leaves and Place the marinated fish pieces and wrap gently.
  7. Heat non-stick pan or manchatty place the wrapped fish in it, close with a lid and cook on a low fire till both sides are done.
  8. Serve it hot with best combinations.
