  1. Aval     1    cup
  2. Sugar     1    cup
  3. Ghee     2    tbsp
  4. First Coconut Milk     2    cup
  5. Second Coconut Milk     3    cup
  6. Roasted Cashew Nuts     10    g
  7. Roasted Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  8. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     ½    tsp


  1. Heat ghee in a pan. Roast cashew and raisin. Drain them and keep it aside.
  2. In the remaining ghee, roast aval till golden brown.Remove and reserve.
  3. Add second coconut milk to the pan and in a boil. Add the roasted aval to it.
  4. Simmer till the aval breaks down and becomes soft. Add the sugar and stir till dissolved.
  5. Pour the first coconut milk.
  6. Add the cardamom powder and remove from the fire.
  7. Granish with nuts raisins and mix it well.Serve it.
