  1. Aval     300    g
  2. Jaggery(Sarkkara)     250    g
  3. Grated Coconut     1    cup
  4. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     ½    tsp
  5. Cashew Nuts     10    g
  6. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  7. Water     1    cup


  1. Boil the water in a sauce pan, add jaggery and melt till all the particles separate.
  2. In a bowl add the aval and sprinke some water and mix them.(by doing this the aval become soft)
  3. Add Coconut to the jaggery syrup mix it well.Then add the aval and cardmom powder also. Mix it well till the aval is coated with jaggery.Switch off the stove.
  4. Granish with raisins and cashewnuts.
  5. Serve it cool.
