  1. Pumpkin(Mathanga)     1    cup
  2. Sugar     1    cup
  3. Milk     3    cup
  4. Cashew Nuts     10    g
  5. Roasted Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  6. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     ½    tsp


  1. Peel the Pumpkin; cut it into small pieces.Cook it with 1/4 cup of water in pressure cooker.
  2. Grind the cooked Pumpkin in a mixer grinder with Cashews and Cardamom and prepare a smooth paste.
  3. Transfer the Pumpkin paste into a heating vessel on low flame.
  4. Add boiled milk and Sugar to it and stir well for 10 min. Remove from the flame.
  5. Granish with raisins and serve it hot.
