  1. Carrot grated    3    no.
  2. Onion finely chopped    2    no.
  3. Ginger -chopped    2    tsp
  4. Green Chillies sliced    3    no.
  5. Curd     1    cup
  6. Curry Leaves     1    stalks
  7. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  8. Small Onion / Shallot -chopped    5    no.
  9. Dry Red Chillies     3    no.
  10. Oil     2    tbsp


  1. Heat oil in a pan and saute finley chopped onion, ginger and green chillies. Saute it well for 2 minutes.
  2. Add finley minced carrots and saute it again for 2 minutes.
  3. Cook it in medium flame by adding enough water. When it is cooked remove from fire.
  4. Let the mixture cool and then add thick curd to it and mix it well.
  5. Heat oil in a wok, and add mustard seeds.
  6. Allow it to splutter along with red chillies and curry leaves and shallots.
  7. Pour this seasoning over the carrot pachadi. Serve it.
