  1. Cooked Rice     500    g
  2. Lemon Juice    50    ml
  3. Oil     2    tbsp
  4. Mustard Seeds     1    tsp
  5. Channa Dal(Pottu Kadala)     1    tbsp
  6. Curry Leaves     2    stalks
  7. Ginger -chopped    1    piece
  8. Green Chillies -chopped    4    nos.
  9. Turmeric Powder     1    tsp
  10. Roasted Cashew Nuts     50    g
  11. Coriander Leaves -chopped    3    stalks


  1. Mix the cooked rice,lemon juice and salt.Keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds,add the channa dal and stir it until golden colour.
  3. Add the ingredients from 7 to 10 and fry for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the rice and cook on a low flame for 5 minutes.
  5. Garnish with cashew nuts and coriander leaves.
  6. Serve it hot with best combination.
