  1. Cooked Basmati Rice     2    cup
  2. Beans     ½    cup
  3. Oil     2    tbsp
  4. Mustard Seeds     ¼    tsp
  5. Bengal gram     1    tsp
  6. Fenugreek leaves -chopped    1    cup
  7. Potato cubed    1    cup
  8. Capsicum -chopped    1    cup
  9. Peas     ½    cup
  10. Cauliflower -chopped    1    cup
  11. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  12. For The Powder
    1. Coriander Seeds (Malli)      1    tbsp
    2. Bengal gram      ½    cup
    3. Dry Red Chillies      15    no.
    4. Copra (Dry Coconut)      1    cup
    5. Cinnamon Pieces (Patta)      2    pieces
    6. Cloves (Kariampo)      5    no.
    7. Asafoetida  Powder    1    pinch


  1. Grind all the ingredeints for the powder coarsely.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add the musterd seeds, bengal gram and stir it well.
  3. Add the fenugreek leaves, potatoes and cook till half done.
  4. Add the other vegetables and 1/2 cup water and cook till the vegetables are tender.
  5. When done add 2 tablespoon of thr ground powder. mix well for 3 minutes add the cooked rice.
  6. Add the salt. If required add more powder and mix well.
  7. Garnished with cashew nuts.
  8. "vegetable Bath ready" serve with raitha and salad
