  1. Mutton     1    Kg
  2. Water     1    cup
  3. Oil     ¼    cup
  4. Tomato -chopped    2    no.
  5. Onion sliced    2    no.
  6. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  7. For The Paste
    1. Tomato  -chopped    1    no.
    2. Coriander Leaves  -chopped    1    cup
    3. Mint Leaves(Pudina)  -chopped    ½    cup
    4. Ginger      1    pieces
    5. Garlic      5    cloves
    6. Cinnamon Pieces (Patta)      1    pieces
    7. Green Chillies      7    nos.
    8. Pepper      1    tsp
    9. Cloves (Kariampo)      3    nos.
    10. Cardamom Seeds (Elakka)      3    nos.


  1. Grind all the ingredients for making the paste and keep aside.
  2. heat a wok and add the oil.
  3. Fry the onion and add the mutton chops. Then add the ground paste and salt to taste.
  4. Add the tomatoes and water.
  5. Fry well. Then transfer to a pressure cooker and cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid of tha pressure cooker and simmer till the gravy has thickened.
  7. Serve it hot.
