  1. Fish Cut in to slices    500    g
  2. Oil     4    tbsp
  3. To Marinate
    1. Lime Juice      1    tsp
    2. Turmeric Powder      ½    tsp
    3. Red Chilli Powder      1    tsp
    4. Cumin Seeds Powder      1    tsp
    5. Salt      ½    tsp


  1. Wash the fish, drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine the marinade ingredients in a small bowl. Blend together in to a smooth paste.
  3. Rub the marinade over the fish and place in a covered glass or china dish in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Put a platter lined with paper towels, beside the stove to hold the fried fish.
  5. Add oil to a heated non-stick skillet.You may wish to use a splatter screen to minimize oil splatters.
  6. Pan-fry the fish, turning frequently, till it is golden brown and crisp. Do not crowd the skillet, as this will cause the fish to steam insted of pan-frying.You may wish to fry them in several batches.
  7. Drain fish and place on the paper-lined platter.
  8. Transfer to a serving dish and serve warm.
