  1. Aval     2    cups
  2. Onion     2    nos.
  3. Red Chilli Powder     1    tsp
  4. Coriander Leaves -chopped    ½    cup
  5. Potato     2    nos.
  6. Corn Flour     2    tbsp
  7. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  8. Oil     1    cup


  1. Chop the onions into very finely.
  2. In a bowl add aval, onions, red chilli powder, coriander leaves and salt mix it well.
  3. Let this mixture sit for 1/2 an hour.
  4. Cooked peel the potatoes and mashed them well.
  5. Then add the mashed potatoes mix it well with the poha mixture.
  6. Add water and to prepare a batter of thick consistency. Then add the above mixture.
  7. Heat oil in a pan, take the batter and put in small quantities and fry till golden brown on medium flame.
  8. Drain the pakodas on an absorbent paper
  9. Serve it hot.
