  1. Bean Sprouts(Mulappicha Payar)     ¼    cup
  2. Cabbage Shredded    ¼    cup
  3. Bamboo shoots     ¼    cup
  4. Chopped Capsicum     2    no.
  5. Chopped Carrot sliced    2    no.
  6. Chopped Celery     1    stalks
  7. Chopped Onion     1    no.
  8. Flour     2    cups
  9. Ginger Garlic Paste     1    tsp
  10. Tomato Sauce     2    tbsp
  11. Soya Sauce     2    tbsp
  12. Vinegar     2    tbsp
  13. Oil     2    tbsp
  14. Cold Water     1½    cups
  15. Baking Powder     ½    tsp
  16. Salt to taste    ½    tsp
  17. Pepper to taste    ½    tsp


  1. Make a batter with the flour, baking powder, water, and salt and pepper.The batter should be light and fluffy.
  2. Make thin pancakes with the batter and keep aside. Leave some batter for frying the spring rolls
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a frying pan.Add the onions and ginger-garlic paste and fry.
  4. Add the capsicum, cabbage, celery, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots and carrots and stir-fry.
  5. When half cooked, add the soya sauce, tomato sauce, vineger, the remaining ajinomoto and a little more of salt and pepper.
  6. When the mixture becomes dry, remove from the fire and cool.
  7. Take a pancake and place it on the rolling board.
  8. Spread some vegetable filling on it and fold it like an envelope.
  9. Dip in the leftover batter and deep fry.
  10. Serve with any dip.
