Tomato- Cheese Rice

  1. Onion     1    no.
  2. French beans     10    nos.
  3. Carrot     1    no.
  4. Ginger     1    piece
  5. Uncooked rice     1½    cups
  6. Sugar     1    tsp
  7. Pepper Powder     1    tsp
  8. Red Chillies     3    nos.
  9. Tomato puree     8    tbsp
  10. Grated Paneer     100    g
  11. Ghee     2    tbsp
  12. Salt to taste    1    tsp


  1. Cut the vegetables in to small cube shape and chop the onion finely.
  2. Prepare a paste by red chilly, ginger and a slice of onion.
  3. Fry remaining onion in the heated ghee, add the paste and fry for some more time.Add rice and vegetables.
  4. Add a cup of water, tomato puree, sugar and salt.Cook for half an hour.
  5. When the rice is almost cooked, add half the cheese and pepper powder. Cook for some more time.
  6. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top of the rice.
