  1. Grated Coconut     ½    cup
  2. Wheat Flour (Atta)     2    cups
  3. Maida     2    tsp
  4. Sugar     ¼    cup
  5. Red Chilli Powder     ¼    tsp
  6. Fennel Seeds(Perumjeerakam) Powder    ¼    tsp
  7. Ghee     4    tbsp
  8. Oil     2    tsp
  9. Salt to taste    ½    tsp


  1. Powder the sugar smoothly.
  2. Mix very fine wheat flour and ghee together, prepare a paste.
  3. Mix sugar powder and grated coconut thoroughly.
  4. Sift wheat flour and salt.Add oil, fennel seeds powder and red chilly powder with it.
  5. Knead to a dough of rolling consistency. Keep it aside for 1 hour.
  6. Make balls and prepare paratha.
  7. Spread very fine wheat flour-ghee paste on reach paratha.
  8. Cook the parathas on the heated pan.
  9. Spread ghee and sugar-coconut mix on the cooked parathas and fry with ghee- oil mixture.Serve hot.
