  1. Banana     2    nos.
  2. Mutton     200    g
  3. Coconut     ½    cup
  4. Coriander Powder     2    tsp
  5. Chilli Powder     2    tsp
  6. Turmeric Powder     ¼    tsp
  7. Aniseed (Perinjeerakam)     1    tsp
  8. Cloves (Kariampo)     4    nos.
  9. Curry Leaves     2    stalks


  1. Peel and cut the bananas, first lengthwise, then slantwise in to two-inch long pieces.
  2. Wash well with a little salt. Cut mutton in to small pieces and wash.
  3. Cook the bananas with mutton and turmeric, chilli and coriander powders till done.
  4. Grind the coconut to a smooth paste with aniseed and cloves.
  5. Mix it with a little water and add to the cooked banana.
  6. Add the curry leaves. Simmer and remove from the fire.
  7. Serve it hot.
