Ingredients: 

  1. Raw Rice(Pachari)     2    cups
  2. Grated Coconut     ½    cup
  3. Onion  Finely Chopped     ¼    cup
  4. Fennel Seeds(Perumjeerakam)     1    tsp
  5. Cumin Seeds     ½    tsp
  6. Cardamom Seeds (Elakka)     2    no.
  7. Prawns -sliced    2    cups
  8. Chilli Powder     1    tbsp
  9. Curry Leaves -chopped    2    stalks
  10. Oil for frying    1    cup
  11. Salt to taste     ½    tsp

Description:
 

  1. Wash and soak the rice in boiled water for 4 to 5 hours. Wash and drain the rice.
  2. Add ingredients from 2 to 6 and grind to a coarsely - fine paste. In to this add ingredients from 7 to 9 and salt. Mix well and make a smooth dough.
  3. Make smooth balls from this dough and flatten it simply using fingers. It should not be too thin.
  4. Fry the neypathil in the oil until two sides of it turn golden brown. Serve hot with any spicy curry.
