  1. Basmati Rice     2    cups
  2. Garlic     50    g
  3. Onion  Finely Chopped     2    nos.
  4. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  5. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  6. Dry Red Chillies     4    nos.
  7. Curry Leaves     2    tsp
  8. Red cherry Cut in to small pieces    5    nos.
  9. Ghee     2    tbsp
  10. Oil     2    tsp
  11. Salt to taste     ½    tsp


  1. Cook rice in cooker. Keep it aside.
  2. Peel off skin from garlic. Grind garlic,a little onion and red chilly with water smoothly. Chop remaining onion in to small pieces.
  3. Pour oil in pan. Sprout mustard, curry leaves, garlic and onion pieces. stir well.
  4. Add grounded masala and stir them well until a fine aroma arises. Add the ingredients along with rice, red cherry, ghee and salt.
  5. Serve hot with Raitha or any desired curry.
