  1. Flesh of the Fish     200    g
  2. Ginger -chopped    1    piece
  3. Garlic -chopped    5    cloves
  4. Onion -chopped    3    nos.
  5. Green Chillies -chopped    4    nos.
  6. Boiled and mashed Potato     3    nos.
  7. Pepper Powder     1    tsp
  8. Garam Masala     1    tsp
  9. Coriander Leaves -chopped    1    stalks
  10. Beaten Egg     3    nos.
  11. Bread Crumbs     1    cup
  12. Oil for deep frying    1    cup


  1. Cook the fish with salt and enough water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add onion,fry till golden brown,then add ginger,garlic and green chillies.Stir it well.
  3. Add the cooked fish,mashed potatoes, pepper powder,garam masala and coriander leaves. Mix it well and remove from fire.
  4. Make small balls from the mixture of the size of a lemon and flatten with palm.
  5. Dip it in the beaten egg and then roll in the bread crumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlet till golden brown.
  7. Drain on kitchen paper and serve it hot.
