Mango Payasam Style-1

  1. Ripe Mango     3    nos.
  2. Condensed Milk     1    tin
  3. Warm Milk     2    cup
  4. Ghee     2    tbsp
  5. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  6. Cashew Nuts     10    g
  7. Saffron     1    pinch
  8. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     ½    tsp
  9. Water     ¼    cup


  1. Cut the mango and make a paste in blender with little water.
  2. In a pan, add ghee and fry the raisins and cashews till golden brown and keep it aside.
  3. Now in the same pan add some more ghee and pour the mango paste and stir continuously until it thickens a little.
  4. Now add the condensed milk and warm milk and stir well.
  5. Add the cardamom powder, saffron and allow to boil for 5 min.
  6. Switch off the stove and add the raisins and cashews.
  7. Garnish with few strands of saffron and serve hot.
