  1. Medium sized Banana     4    nos.
  2. Prawns     1½    cup
  3. Small Onion / Shallot     8    nos.
  4. Tomatoes     3    nos.
  5. Ginger     1    piece
  6. Tamarind Lemon size    1    no.
  7. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  8. Chilli Powder     2    tsp
  9. Grated Coconut     1½    cup
  10. Green Chillies     5    nos.
  11. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  12. Fenugreek Seeds(Uluva)     ¾    tsp
  13. Curry Leaves     1    stalks


  1. Clean prawns and set aside. Peel and chop plantains in to 2 inch thin slices.
  2. Make a fine paste of coconut, chilly powder, shallots and ginger.
  3. Cook plantains along with tomatoes,turmeric, green chilly, little coconut oil and salt.When it is almost cooked and prawns and tamarind pulp and cook for another three to four minute.
  4. Add the coconut paste and simmer for two more minute in medium flame.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds fenugreek seeds.
  6. When they splutter add curry leaves and dry chilly and fry. Pour this over the curry and mix. Serve with rice.
