Cashew Nut Stew

  1. Cashew Nuts     250    g
  2. Curry powder     3    tsp
  3. Turmeric Powder     1    tsp
  4. Oil     3    tbsp
  5. Green Chillies Cut lengthwise into two    2    no.
  6. Onion -chopped    2    no.
  7. Garlic Crushed    1    tbsp
  8. Cinnamon Pieces (Patta) Crushed    1    piece
  9. Coconut Milk (First Milk)     1    cup
  10. Coconut Milk (Second Milk)    2    cup
  11. Coriander Leaves     2    stalks
  12. Salt to taste     ½    tsp


  1. Soak cashew nuts in water for 3 or 4 hours. Drain and wash it,grind 10 gram of cashew nuts and set aside.
  2. Marinate the remaining cashew nuts with salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Saute garlic,onions,green chillies and crushed cinnamon pieces in the oil till it turns brown in colour. Add cashew nuts and curry powder and stir well.
  4. Add coconut milk(second milk) into this mixture and cook it. When the water is evaporated add grounded cashew nuts and coconut milk(first milk) and boil it.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
