Ingredients: 

  1. Flesh of the Fish     ½    Kg
  2. To marinate the fish
    1. Turmeric Powder      ½    tsp
    2. Pepper Powder      1    tsp
    3. Chilli Powder      1    tsp
    4. Ginger Garlic Paste      2    tsp
    5. Lemon Juice      1    tsp
    6. Salt  to taste    ½    tsp
    7. Coconut Oil  for frying    ½    cup
  3. For the masala
    1. Onion  sliced    2    nos.
    2. Green Chillies      5    nos.
    3. Sliced Ginger      2    tsp
    4. Coconut  Shredded    ½    cup
    5. Fennel Seeds(Perumjeerakam)  Powder    ½    tsp
    6. Coriander Leaves  , chopped    2    stalks

Description:
 

  1. Clean and cut fish in to small pieces.
  2. Mix all ingredients listed under to marinate the fish in to a paste and apply over the fish pieces and set aside for ten minutes.
  3. Fry the fish till it is done and drain the excess oil and keep aside.
  4. In the pan add two tsps of oil add onions, sliced ginger and green chilly and saute till changes color.
  5. Add coconut and continue to fry till onions and coocnut turns golden brown.
  6. Add fennel powder, a pinch orf chilly powder and coriander leaves.
  7. Add the fried fish and gently toss till all the fish is coated with the masala.
  8. Serve with rice.
