  1. To marinate
    1. Flesh of the Fish      2    Kg
    2. Pepper Powder      ½    tsp
    3. Ginger Garlic Paste      3    tsp
    4. Chilli paste      1    tsp
    5. Lemon Juice      2    tbsp
  2. For the batter
    1. Egg      2    nos.
    2. Corn Flour      2    tbsp
    3. Flour      ½    cup
    4. Pepper Powder      1    pinch
    5. Salt      ½    tsp
  3. To Saute
    1. Chopped Onion  Medium Size    1    no.
    2. Green Chillies  Slit length-wise    6    nos.
    3. Garlic      5    cloves
    4. Soya Sauce      3    tbsp
    5. Dark soya sauce      2    tbsp
    6. Chilli garlic Sauce      2    tsp
    7. Rice Vinegar      2    tsp
    8. Tomato Sauce      3    tbsp
    9. Sugar      1    pinch
    10. Vegetables Stock      ½    cup
    11. Corn Flour      1    tsp
    12. Oil  for frying    ½    cup


  1. Cut boneless fish in to medium sized cubes.
  2. Marinate with pepper powder, lemon juice, chilly paste and ginger-garlic paste and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix together, corn starch, flour, a pinch of pepper powder, salt and egg and 1/3 cup of water to make a batter.
  4. Make a batter which is not thin or too thick.
  5. Dip the fish in the batter and deep fry the fish in medium hot oil till it is golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towles and keep aside.
  7. Heat a pan and add 2-3 tsp of oil.
  8. When it is hot add minced garlic and saute for a minute, followed by cubed onions and pepper/chilly. Saute for two minutes.
  9. Add fried fish and saute. Mix sauces, sugar and vinegar in the chicken/ vegetable stock along with corn starch and pour over the fish and mix well and allow this to corn together and coat the fish.
  10. If you want more gravy add little more of chicken stock.
  11. Serve as a appetizer/ starter or with fried rice.
