Ingredients: 

  1. Onion Cut into rings    3    nos.
  2. Maida     1½    cup
  3. Baking Powder     2    tsp
  4. Egg Lightly beaten    2    nos.
  5. Milk     1½    cup
  6. Salt to taste    1    tsp
  7. Corn Flour     2    tsp
  8. Bread Crumbs     1½    cup
  9. Vegetable oil for deep frying    2    cups
  10. White Pepper Powder     2    tsp

Description:
 

  1. Peel the onions and cut them in to thick rings. Separate the rings carefully. Beat the egg with the milk.
  2. In a bowl mix the maida, corn flour, baking powder and salt. Add this to the egg mixture and make a smooth batter by adding 1/2 cup of water.
  3. Add more water if required. Spread the breadcrumbs in a plate. Dip each onion ring with the batter and then coat with the breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a pan to cover the rings. Put the coated onion rings in to the hot oil, 2 to 3 at a time and fry until browned and crisp about 3 minutes.
  5. Remove onion rings and drain the on an absorbent paper.
  6. The crispy onion rings is ready to be served. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
