  1. Tapioca(Kappa) grated    3    cup
  2. Grated Coconut     1½    cups
  3. Melted Jaggery(Sarkkara)     1    cup
  4. Cashew Nuts     10    g
  5. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  6. Oil     1    tsp
  7. Salt to taste     ½    tsp


  1. Wash, peel the skin of grated the tapioca.
  2. Add salt mix it well .Keep aside for 10 minuts. So that the water will drain. Strain squeeze out the water comepletely from the tapioca.
  3. In a blender add squeezed tapioca, grated coconut and jaggery blend it with out adding water to thick paste.
  4. Grease a flat pan with little oil and pour the batter .
  5. Garnish with cashews and raisins.
  6. Cover tightly and steam for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Cut into diamond shapes and serve.
