  1. Idly     10    nos.
  2. Tomato     2    nos.
  3. Onion     2    nos.
  4. Egg     3    nos.
  5. Sambar Powder (available in market)     1    tbsp
  6. Garam Masala     ½    tsp
  7. Oil     2    tbsp
  8. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  9. Urad Dal(Uzhunnuparippu)     1    tsp
  10. Curry Leaves     1    stalks


  1. Chop the idlis in to a small cubes. keep it aside.
  2. Heat a kadai with oil and pop up mustard seeds add urad dal and curry leaves. Add onions and saute till they turn pink.
  3. Add egg and tomatoes and saute. Add sambhar powder and salt and saute till the raw smell goes and it leaves oil.
  4. Add the chopped idlis and add little water and close with the lid.
  5. After two minute the yummy kothu lidli is ready.
