  1. Paneer Cubed    2    cups
  2. Onion sliced    3    nos.
  3. Green Chillies Slit length-wise    5    nos.
  4. Ginger Garlic Paste     2    tbsp
  5. Turmeric Powder     ¼    tsp
  6. Fennel Seeds(Perumjeerakam)     ¼    tsp
  7. Crushed Black peppercorns     1    tsp
  8. Garam Masala Powder    ½    tsp
  9. Curry Leaves     1    stalks
  10. Soya Sauce     1    tsp
  11. Tomato Ketchup     1    tbsp
  12. Coriander Leaves     ¼    cup
  13. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  14. Oil     2    tbsp


  1. Cut the paneer in to cubes.
  2. In a pan, heat the oil and add sliced onions.Fry till golden brown. Add green chilli and saute for a minute.
  3. Add the ginger garlic paste. Let it cook till the raw smell leaves the paste.
  4. Add turmeric powder, garam masala, fennel powder, and crushed pepper. Saute for 3 minute.
  5. Add soya sauce and tomato ketchup. Mix well.
  6. Add 1/4 cup water and salt and mix well. Add paneer cubes and mix well till the masala coats the paneer. Bring to boil.
  7. Add curry leaves, cover the pan and cook on low flame for about 5 minutes.
  8. You should cook till the masala turns darker and fry with the masala coating the paneer pieces as in the picture above.
  9. Add some finely chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  10. Paneer kurumulaku masala is ready. Serve it hot.
