  1. Boiled and mashed Tapioca(Kappa)     ½    Kg
  2. Onion  Finely Chopped     1    nos.
  3. Ginger     1    pieces
  4. Curry Leaves     1    stalks
  5. Turmeric Powder     ¼    tsp
  6. Chilli Powder     1    tsp
  7. Garam Masala Powder    ½    tsp
  8. Bread Crumbs     1    cups
  9. Maida     4    tbsp
  10. Water     ½    cups
  11. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  12. Oil for frying    1    cup


  1. Mix 4 tablespoon maida in 1/2 cup water and make a smooth solution. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, Add finely sliced onions fry till golden color and fragrant.
  3. Add chopped ginger and curry leaves. Mix well.
  4. Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Saute in a low heat for 3 minutes or till the raw smell goes.
  5. Add boiled and mashed tapioca pieces, garam masala powder and salt to taste.Stir well. Do not add water.
  6. Cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 10 minutes.Stir occasionally.
  7. Switch off the heat and allow to cool naturally. Divide this mixture into portions. Make even sized balls and flatten them into round shapes
  8. Apply little maida solution on both the sides and roll them in bread crumbs.
  9. Heat oil in a pan reduce heat to medium and deep fry cutlets until golden color on both the sides. Serve it hot.
