  1. Carrot -chopped    300    g
  2. Boiled Toor Dal     100    g
  3. Coconut     1    cup
  4. Cumin Seeds     ½    tsp
  5. Garlic     5    no.
  6. Urad Dal(Uzhunnuparippu)     1    tsp
  7. Chilli Powder     ½    tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  9. Coconut Oil     2    tsp
  10. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  11. Dried Red Chilli     3    nos.
  12. Salt to taste     ½    tsp


  1. Pour water in a pan and boil the carrot. Have to boil by adding chilly powder, turmeric powder, and salt. After getting bolied add the boiled parippu into it.
  2. Take coconut, cumin seed and grind it to make paste. Then add this paste into the cooked carrot.
  3. When it get boiled add the fried coconut and urud dal and mix well. After adding the fried coconut you should not add water into it. Carrot Erissery is ready. Serve with rice.
