Coriander Chicken Curry

  1. Chicken     1    Kg
  2. Turmeric Powder     ¼    tsp
  3. Pepper Powder     ½    tsp
  4. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  5. Coriander Leaves     1    cups
  6. Curry Leaves     2    stalks
  7. Green Chillies     7    nos.
  8. Lemon Juice     ½    tsp
  9. Onion sliced    3    nos.
  10. Ginger Garlic Paste     1    tbsp
  11. Yoghurt     3    tbsp
  12. Hot water     1    cup
  13. Garam Masala Powder    1    tsp
  14. Oil     3    tbsp


  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with turmeric powder, salt, pepper powder. Keep in the refrigerator for a few hours or for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grind the coriander leaves, green chillies, curry leaves, lemon juice to a paste adding little water if needed.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add sliced onion and ginger garlic paste. Saute until onion turns light golden.
  4. Next add chicken pieces and 3 tbsp yogurt. Mix well.Cover and cook for 15 minutes until chicken is half done. Add coriander paste and 1/2 cup hot water mix well.
  5. Again cover and cook for 10 minutes or untill chicken pieces are done and oil floats on top. Sprinkle garam masala powder and mix well. Switch off.
  6. Coriander Chicken curry is ready. Serve with chapathis.
