Vazhakoombu Vanpayar Thoran

Ingredients: 

  1. Vazha chundu(Banana blossom)     1    nos.
  2. Cooked Vanpayar     2    cup
  3. Oil     3    tbsp
  4. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  5. Dried Red Chilli     3    nos.
  6. Grated Coconut     1    cup
  7. Green Chillies     3    nos.
  8. Garlic     3    nos.
  9. Curry Leaves     1    stalks
  10. Salt to taste     ½    tsp

Description:
 

  1. Remove 3-4 outer of the banana bud and chop it really fine into a vessel with water, salt, oil and turmeric powder.
  2. In a deep pan, heat some oil and splutter the mustards. Add dry red chillies and brown them. Now add in the finely chopped banana bud and cook covered, at low heat.
  3. Meanwhile crush the grated coconut with green chillies and garlic.
  4. When the banana bud is cooked well.,add the cooked vanpayar, crushed coconut mixture, curry leaves and mix well.
  5. Cover and cook for a few minutes. Switch off. Serve it hot.
