  1. Rice Sevai     2    cup
  2. Prawns     ½    Kg
  3. Cardamom Seeds (Elakka)     3    nos.
  4. Cloves (Kariampo)     3    nos.
  5. Star Anise     2    nos.
  6. Fennel Seeds(Perumjeerakam)     ¼    tsp
  7. Cinnamon Pieces (Patta)     1    piece
  8. Bay leaves     1    nos.
  9. Onion Slices    2    nos.
  10. Ginger Garlic Paste     2    tsp
  11. Green Chillies     3    nos.
  12. Tomato finely chopped    2    nos.
  13. Mint Leaves(Pudina)     ½    cup
  14. Coriander Leaves     ½    cup
  15. Garam Masala Powder    ½    tsp
  16. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  17. Oil     1    tsp
  18. Ghee     2    tsp


  1. In a large pan, add rice sevai, ½ tsp salt and hot water. Close it and keep it for 5 minutes. Drain the water completely and keep aside.
  2. Now in a large pan, add oil, all the spices, bay leaves, onion, ginger garlic paste, green chilles. Fry till the onion becomes translucent, now add the tomato, mint leaves, coriander leaves and when tomato becomes soft, add the prawns.
  3. Add the all the powders specified i ingredients and salt and sauté well till the prawns becomes curly in shape. If needed, add little water to cook the prawns.
  4. Now add in the sevai and mix well and keep in heat for 2 to 3 minutes and add ghee mix again and serve hot, garnishing with coriander leaves.
