  1. Brinjal Cut in to small pieces    5    nos.
  2. Rice Flour     3    tsp
  3. Besan flour     1    cups
  4. Red Chilli Powder     1    tsp
  5. Masala Powder    ½    tsp
  6. Ginger Garlic Paste     ½    tsp
  7. Bicarbonate of soda     2    pinch
  8. Green Chillies -chopped    2    nos.
  9. Coriander Leaves -chopped    2    stalks
  10. Lemon Juice     1    tsp
  11. Curry Leaves     1    stalks
  12. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  13. Water     1    cup
  14. Oil for frying    1    cup


  1. Cut the brinjal into thin slices and mix with lime juice and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix all the ingredients except oil in a idli batter consistency. In a kadai, pour the oil and heat on medium flame.
  3. Pour one drop of the batter to the oil and check whether it starts frying. One put the brinjal pieces one by one and fry it.
  4. Crispy brinjal masala bhajji is ready.
