Sausagae and Vegetable Fried Rice

  1. Basmati Rice     2    cups
  2. Sausage sliced    1    cups
  3. Pepper Powder     ½    tsp
  4. Mushroom -chopped    1    cups
  5. Crushed Chilli flakes     2    tsp
  6. Green Beans Slices    ¾    cups
  7. Frozen Green Peas     ½    cup
  8. Soya Sauce     1    tsp
  9. Olive oil     2    tbsp
  10. Coriander Leaves     2    stalks
  11. Sugar     ½    tsp
  12. Salt to taste     ½    tsp


  1. Soak the rice for 15 minutes. Cook until done. Set aside to cool.
  2. Heat olive oil in pan at medium high heat. Add the sausage pieces and ½ tsp pepper powder.
  3. Stir fry until they are no longer pink add mushrooms. Stir fry for about one minute.
  4. The veggies should not be over cooked, they should retain their crunch. Add green peas and stir fry for one minute mix well.
  5. Add soy sauce, mix well and then add cooked rice. Taste check for salt stir fry for 2 minutes. Sprinkle little sugar mix well.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and spring onion. Serve hot as is or with ketchup.
