Sweet and Spicy Soya Chunks

  1. Soya Chunks     200    cup
  2. Red Chilli paste     2    tbsp
  3. Spring Onion -chopped    ½    cup
  4. Garlic Crushed    5    cloves
  5. Honey     1    tsp
  6. Tomato Ketchup     3    tbsp
  7. Pepper Powder     ½    tsp
  8. Soya Sauce     1    tsp
  9. Chilli garlic Sauce     1    tsp
  10. Corn Flour     2    tbsp
  11. Maida     1    tbsp
  12. Sugar     1    tsp
  13. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  14. Oil for frying    1    cup
  15. Sesame Oil     1    tbsp


  1. Soak soya chunks in boiled water for 10 minutes or till soft. Then remove it from the water.
  2. Squeeze out all the extra water from the chunks. Marinate it with a table spoon of red chilli paste a table spoon of tomato ketchup.
  3. Black pepper sauce, garlic, chilli sauce, sweet chilli sauce, one tsp of dark soya sauce and salt to taste. Now add corn flour and plain flour.
  4. Deep fry the marinated chunks till crisp. Keep it aside. Heat sesame oil in a pan.
  5. Add crushed garlic one tbsp of red chilli paste and spring onion sauté on high flame for few seconds.
  6. Add fried soya chunks a table spoon of tomato ketchup; sugar a tea spoon of soya sauce and honey.
  7. Switch off the flame. Serve it hot.
