Spicy Puris

  1. Wheat Flour (Atta)     2    cup
  2. Besan flour     ¼    cup
  3. Rava(Sooji)     2    tbsp
  4. Chopped Coriander Leaves     2    tbsp
  5. Chopped Mint Leaves(Pudina)     2    tbsp
  6. Ajwain     ½    tsp
  7. Cumin Seeds     ¼    tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder     ¼    tsp
  9. Red Chilli Powder     ½    tsp
  10. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  11. Water as required     ½    cups
  12. Oil for frying    1    cup


  1. Ina bowl, mix atta, sooji, besan mint leaves, coriander leaves, cumin sedds, ajwin, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  2. First add ½ cup water and later adjust with remaining water to make a dough.
  3. Dough should be just like puri dough. Not very soft like chapatti dough. Keep aside.
  4. Divide puri dough into 9-10 portions and make balls flatten them to make rounds/ puris .
  5. Sprinkle little dry flour when making puris. In a frying pan, heat oil.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and for 2 minutes. Do not fry on high heat. It will get brown color immediately
  7. Fry puri one at a time till it puffs up. Turn over toll both sides until light golden color.
