Ingredients: 

  1. Mushroom     200    g
  2. Onion -chopped    2    nos.
  3. Tomato     2    no.
  4. Green Chillies Slits    5    nos.
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste     1    tbsp
  6. Red Chilli Powder     1    tsp
  7. Coriander Powder     1    tbsp
  8. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  9. Cumin Seeds Powder     ¼    tsp
  10. Garam Masala Powder    1    tsp
  11. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  12. Oil     2    tbsp

Description:
 

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan at medium heat and add the garam masala powder. Fry this for a minute and add the chopped onions along with salt.
  2. Sauté it until onions are translucent and then add ginger garlic paste, green chilly, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder and cumin powder.
  3. Sauté this along with onions until the raw smell goes off. Next throw in the chopped tomatoes and sauté until oil separates. Now add the mushrooms and incorporate well the masala.
  4. Add little water if needed and cook covered for about 10 minutes. Remove from flame and keep aside.
  5. Meanwhile crush the garlic pods, peppercorns and cumin seeds using a mortar and pestle. Heat a wide mouth pan at medium high heat and melt the butter.
  6. Add the crushed garlic, pepper mixture and sauté for 5 minutes.
  7. Now reduce flame to medium and add the mushroom masala and curry leaves to the pan and cook this until the mushroom masala becomes dry.
  8. Serve it hot.
