  1. Beef -Cut into small pieces    1    Kg
  2. Onion -chopped    2    nos.
  3. Ginger -chopped    2    tsp
  4. Garlic -chopped    2    tsp
  5. Peppercorns     1    tsp
  6. Cumin Seeds     1    tsp
  7. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  8. Vinegar     ½    cup
  9. Tamarind     ½    tsp
  10. Sugar     ½    tsp
  11. Dry Red Chillies     4    nos.
  12. Green Chillies     4    nos.
  13. Oil     1    cup
  14. Water     4    cups


  1. Grind the dried red chillies, cumin seeds and pepper corns.Combine with ginger, garlic and turmeric powder.Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add onions,green chillies and salt. Stir it well,till onion turns golden brown.
  3. Add the beef pieces and spice mixture.Mix it well.
  4. Pour enough water,cover and cook till soft.
  5. Add vinegar,tamarind and sugar,stir it well.
  6. Cook on low flame,till the gravy thick.
  7. Serve hot with best combinations.
