  1. Onion rings     3    nos.
  2. Gram Flour(Besan Flour)     100    g
  3. Chilli Powder     ½    tsp
  4. Asafoetida     2    pinch
  5. Salt to taste     ½    tsp
  6. Water     120    ml
  7. Oil for deep frying    1    cup


  1. Mix the ingredients from 2 to 6 well and prepare the batter.
  2. Add onion rings into above batter and mix it.
  3. Heat oil in a wok,add onions and fry it till golden brown on both sides or until crisp.
  4. Drain the pakkavada on an absorbent paper.
  5. Serve it hot.
