  1. Idly     6    nos.
  2. Onion -chopped    2    nos.
  3. Green Chillies sliced    5    nos.
  4. Mustard Seeds     1    tsp
  5. Urad Dal(Uzhunnuparippu)     1    tsp
  6. Channa Dal(Pottu Kadala)     1    tsp
  7. Coriander Leaves -chopped    1    tbsp
  8. Oil     2    tsp


  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
  2. Add urad dal and channa dal,stir fry till turns golden brown colour.
  3. Then add chopped onion and green chillies.
  4. Fry for a while till it turns into golden brown colour.
  5. Add the crumbled idly and salt.
  6. Then add coriander leaves and mix it well.Remove from the fire.
  7. Idly upma is ready.
  8. Serve it with best combinations.
