  1. Maida     100    g
  2. Sugar Powder     100    g
  3. Butter     100    g
  4. Baking Powder     1    pinch
  5. Egg     2    nos.
  6. Vanilla Essence     ½    tsp
  7. Salt to taste     1    pinch


  1. Place the butter and sugar into a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. In another bowl beat the eggs well and add the butter mixture and flour little by little and make smooth and creamy consistency.
  3. Add the vanilla essence and a pinch of salt,mix it well.
  4. Pour into greased baking tray .
  5. Bake it in a preheated oven until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake and turn out.
  7. Sponge cake is ready enjoy it.
  8. Sift together maida and baking powder
