Tomato Chutney Style 1

  1. Tomato     500    g
  2. Red Chilli Powder     2    tsp
  3. Jaggery(Sarkkara)     40    g
  4. Mustard Seeds     ½    tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder     ¼    tsp
  6. Oil     2    tsp


  1. Heat oil in pan and fry the chopped tomatoes.Keep it aside to cool.
  2. Grind the tomato mixture when it cools.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.When it sprouts,add the grinded tomato to it.
  4. Add turmaric powder,salt,chilly powder and jaggery in it and boil it.
  5. Serve hot or cold as required.Tomato chutney could be preserved for 2 or 3 days in cold storage.
