  1. Badam     300    g
  2. Sugar     4    cups
  3. Water     1    cup
  4. Ghee     1    cup
  5. Saffron     2    tsp
  6. Kesari Powder     ¼    tsp


  1. Soak the almonds in hot water.Peel and grind in a grinder to a smooth paste.
  2. Boil the sugar and water together in a pan and make a thick syrup.
  3. Add the almond paste into the syrup and mix it well.
  4. Dissolve the kesari powder and saffron in a little milk and add to the almond mixture.Stir it well.
  5. Gradually stir in the ghee until it rolls and leaves the sides of the pan.
  6. Remove the thick mixture from heat,spread it evenly on a buttered tray and allow it to cool.
  7. Badam Halwa is ready to serve.
