  1. Onion - sliced into rings     2    nos.
  2. Gram Flour(Besan Flour)     200    g
  3. Rice Powder     2    tbsp
  4. Red Chilli Powder     2    tsp
  5. Oil for deep frying    1    cup


  1. Slice the onions into thin rings. Keep it aside.
  2. Mix besan powder, rice flour, chilli powder and salt with enough water to make a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  4. Dip the onion rings into the batter and drop into the hot oil.
  5. Deep fry until its golden brown in colour.
  6. Remove the excess oil using paper tissues.
  7. Make 3 or 4 bhajis at the same time according to the size of the pan.
  8. Onion Bhaji is ready to serve with any chutney or tomato ketchup.
