Ingredients: 

  1. Maida     250    g
  2. Curd     ½    cup
  3. Soda Bicarbonate     1    tsp
  4. Ghee     ¼    cup
  5. Ghee for deep frying    1    cup
  6. Sugar     500    g
  7. Cardamom Seeds (Elakka)     6    nos.
  8. Saffron     1    pinch

Description:
 

  1. Mix maida, salt, ghee and curd.Knead it into a dough.
  2. Add more maida to make a stiff dough.(if required)
  3. Make small balls from the dough. Press each ball with fingers and make a depression at the centre so as to get the typical badushah shape.
  4. Heat ghee in a heavy pan and drop the balls into hot oil.
  5. Deep fry the balls until both sides are golden in colour.
  6. Prepare sugar syrup .Add cardamom powder and saffron into the sugar syrup.
  7. Put the ghee fried balls into the sugar syrup.
  8. After 5 minutes remove badushah from the syrup and keep it in a plate.
  9. Badushah is ready to serve.
