Ingredients: 

  1. Badam     1    cup
  2. Milk     5    cups
  3. Sugar     1    cup
  4. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  5. Ghee for frying    1    tsp
  6. Crushed Cardamom Seeds (Elakka)     ¼    tsp

Description:
 

  1. Soak badams in hot water for about an hour.
  2. Drain the water, peel off the skin of almonds and make a fine paste in a grinder by adding milk if necessary.
  3. Boil milk in a thick bottomed pan. When the milk begins to boil add the almond paste, sugar and crushed cardamom and cook over a low flame stirring continuously until kheer reaches the required cosistency.
  4. Garnish with roasted raisins and serve it hot.
