  1. Palak     2    stalks
  2. Potato     2    nos.
  3. Tomatoes     2    nos.
  4. Onion -chopped    1    no.
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste     2    tsp
  6. Cumin Seeds Powder     1    tsp
  7. Coriander Powder     1    tsp
  8. Red Chilli Powder     ½    tsp
  9. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  10. Butter     1    tbsp


  1. Chop palak, onion, tomatoes and potatoes.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and fry onions till they turn transparent.
  3. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste. Mix all the ingredients well.
  5. Add chopped potatoes and tomatoes and cook over a moderate heat for about 10 minutes.
  6. Add chopped palak and salt.
  7. Cook it for 10 minutes over medium flame.
  8. 'Aloo Palak' is ready is to serve.
